Welcome to Dearg Mor our recently converted garage space. We have tried to make as homely as possible and hope you enjoy your stay. We also have 2 cats living on the property who will be delighted to make your acquaintance but please don't let them in your room.

We are keen outdoor enthusiasts and delighted to advise on routes for walking, trail/hill running and cycling.

We live in a quiet area on the shores of Loch Linnhe on the Great Glen Way. There is a small shopping centre close by which has a variety take aways (one does breakfast/bakery and the others do evening meals), a cafe, a pharmacy, a grocery shop, 2 hair salons and a second hand shop! There is a chip shop within walking distance as well as a pub/restaurant. We live 4 1/2 miles from Ben Nevis (Britain's highest mountain) which has a 'tourist' path to get you to the top. It is a great day out and the views from the top are spectacular! You can also drive to the head of Glen Nevis and do a low level hike through Nevis Gorge to Steall Meadows and see Steall Falls which is Scotland's 2nd highest waterfall. Aonach Mor ski resort is a 6 mile drive . Fort William is 3 1/2 miles away and has a variety of shops and restaurants. The West Highland Museum in the High Street is well worth a visit. You can also take the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig passing over the Glenfinnan viaduct.
