A couple of minutes walk will take you to cafes, and shops.There is a walk along the seafront all the way to Scrabster along the cliffs.`Victoria Walk`.Local fishmongers supply fresh produce. a short distance from the house IThe Thurso river runs through the town and near by there is a swimming pool and gym. beyond the town the countryside of Caithness offers many lovely walks and interesting archeological sites of interest.
