Welcome to our Surrey idyll … Wisteria Cottage is a stunning, spacious 4-5-bedroom home nestled in the village of Beacon Hill, Hindhead, Surrey. Fully renovated in early 2020 with lots of designer touches and a mature wrap-around English garden, this gracious, light-filled home is perfect for gatherings of friends, family, and also companies looking to accommodate employees working in the area or looking for a place to host a corporate retreat. Over 2 floors, with approx. 3000 square feet, you can spread out over 4-5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, “Great Room” open plan living/dining/kitchen with 14 foot ‘party island’ and bifold doors that open onto a 20 foot deck – great for entertaining outdoors. There are 2 further reception rooms (one of which can be used as a 5th bedroom), as well as a conservatory/garden room which is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the outdoors inside. Sleeps 10. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs – the master bedroom has a super king bed, vaulted ceiling and ensuite bathroom; the other 3 bedrooms all have king sized-beds. There is room in all the bedrooms to accommodate a travel cot or air bed. The master has an ensuite bathroom, and 2 further bathrooms.
Married mum of 2 busy 'tweens. We are Canadian, but have lived in the UK for over 20 years. We now call Surrey our home and love it for its stunning natural beauty, amazing walks and of course - the pubs! We also have 2 flats in London and a house in Nova Scotia, Canada, so our Surrey house is available whenever we are elsewhere!
Wisteria Cottage is located in Beacon Hill, Hindhead, part of the beautiful Surrey Hills - deemed an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Many walking trails and beautiful vistas are within walking distance of the Cottage. Our favourites are a 45mins circular walk through local woods and trails which starts at the end of our street, and another circular walk around the Devil’s Punch Bowl (National Trust), which is about a 5 mins drive away. The house is a few minutes’ walk to the Beacon Hill high street, which has a village store, a few independent shops and a pizzeria. It is also a 5 minutes’ drive to Grayshott, which has two supermarkets, wine shop, cafés, etc. Approximately 10 minutes’ drive away is the quaint and charming historic market town of Haslemere which is steeped in history. It has many more shops and restaurants and from here you can catch the train to London Waterloo with a direct journey time of approximately 50 minutes. Farnham is about 8 miles, or 20 minutes’ drive away . Farnham is known for its Georgian streets, historic buildings and craft heritage, with easy access to the rural North Downs Way. It also has lots of shops and restaurants to explore.
