39 Bailgate is a beautifully refurbished Grade II Listed mid-terrace cottage situated in the Uphill area of Lincoln. The cottage sleeps up to four adults and is both the perfect place for a luxurious weekend retreat, and the ideal base from which to explore Lincoln Castle and Lincoln’s Cathedral quarter, the city, and the county beyond. The cottage we see today has evolved over four centuries through many different campaigns of building – and even includes remnants of medieval Lincoln in its fabric. Lying along the route of the ancient Roman Ermine Street, this captivating Grade II Listed former tenement enjoys a plethora of original features throughout its light and airy living space. After being vacant for over a decade, 39 Bailgate has recently been brought back to life with a thoughtful refurbishment by Bailgate based architectural practice Karaolides Szynalska Architects. Whilst retaining its period charm and celebrating the cottage’s rich architectural heritage, KSA have introduced all the contemporary conveniences one would expect from a modern luxury home. Situated in the Uphill area of Lincoln, 39 Bailgate is a perfect base from which to explore Lincoln.

39 Bailgate is able to accommodate up to four guests; with a double bedroom; a single bedroom, and an airbed for use in the living room. In addition to the two bedrooms and living room, there’s a shower room and a well-equipped bespoke kitchen/dining room. The garden terrace, which opens onto the raised lawned garden, affords guests the ideal space for convivial entertaining. Unfortunately we don't have parking available at 39 Bailgate, however there are public car parks at Westgate 1 East and The Lawn which is only minutes away. Free parking is available on Bailgate between 6pm-8am Monday to Saturday, and all day Sunday. For dropping off/collecting luggage there is a 60 min parking area within easy distance. A Walk and Ride bus service, calling at all the main tourist and shopping locations in the city, is available from opposite the cottage.
