Hey, I'm Alice and I own and run 'The Place To Stay Wales'. We are a very small friendly team run by myself. I love Porthcawl. I have lived here all my life, I wanted to create somewhere that I would love to stay if I was visiting our lovely hometown. 'The Place To Stay Wales' has been offering overnight stays since 2016 when we opened our first location '19 Mary Street' a 10 bedroom serviced accommodation. This is our second location, '39 John Street' vacation accommodation which we have 3 studios all individually designed sleeping up to 4 people.
Sister Property to the Popular 19 Mary Street; 39 John Street opened in February 2021. In the main shopping centre of Porthcawl and just a stones throw from the beach we are in the perfect location for guests! 39 John Street has a modern eclectic interior adorned with industrial exposed lighting and custom made neons in each room for a chilled vibe. We have three separate style rooms, all with a hint of inspirations from some of my favourite bands. The Sunshine Studio: A hint of The Beatles with our custom 'Here Comes The Sun' neon & Beatles prints. The Sweet Dreams Studio: A hint of the Eurythmics with our 'Sweet dreams are made of this' Neon. The Scaramouche Studio: A hint of Queen with our custom 'Scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the fandango?' Neon & Freddie Mercury drawing.
You step out of the door and are smack bang the middle of the high street. Plenty of lovely independent shops to visit and buy gifts from and cafes to go to for breakfasts and lunches. Come out of the door & turn left, walk straight and at the end of the high street you will come to the seafront with many ice cream parlours and restaurants to visit.
