Welcome to 73 Thoroughfare, a charming, peaceful, central 300 year-old entire house ideally located within easy level walking distance of the railway station, coffee shops, two bakeries, a deli, a bookshop, a handy supermarket and even a fishmonger’s for your fresh crab salad. You have the whole house to relax in, two reception rooms to sprawl in, a good-sized kitchen and a garden area where you can sun yourself and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. If you want to be more sociable Elmhurst Park is two minutes from the front door. This is a very old house, dating back to around 1720, when we think it was built as senior servants' quarters for Norfolk House next door. Both properties were linked by several internal doorways at various points in their history. People were generally much shorter 300 years ago. This means several doorways are quite low and the stairs are quite narrow and steep, particularly the top flight of stairs to the upper bedroom.

We live just ten minutes drive away, so if you need us we are at the end of the phone. In case of any comfort crisis we can be there very fast!
