Nestled in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, Ann's Cottage and The Old Smithy offers holiday home accommodation with free WiFi access and free on-site parking. Surrounded by countryside hiking trails, the property is also just 48 minutes' drive from Robin Hood's Bay.

Each holiday home includes a seating area with a TV and a patio. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining area. Featuring a shower, the private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. Guests can enjoy a garden view from the room. Extras include a DVD player, a CD player and cable channels.

Each morning, a full Yorkshire breakfast is available. A vegetarian option is also on offer.

The seaside town of Whitby is 18 miles away. The ruins of the Benedictine Whitby Abbey are found after a 40-minute drive. From the holiday home, the Farmhouse Fodder Tea Garden is a 3-minute journey by car.

For history lovers, the area is rich, teeming with abbeys, castles, churches with crypts and so much more. The stone arches of the old iron ore mines gaze down on our idyllic retreat creating a dramatic atmosphere that reflects the drama of the vibrant heather covered moorland. Blow the cobwebs away on our bracing circular moorland walk skirting the valley discovering the relics of the old mining days before returning rosy cheeked to the privacy of your own country cottage perfect for all seasons.
