Large, semi-detached property with off-street parking located on the main road into Portrush from Coleraine. We are easily found because the house is yellow and we fly our guests' national flags at the frontage. A traditional 2 storey property, there are guest rooms on both floors with the owners' accommodation at the rear of the ground floor. Ceilings are high and many traditional features remain, adding to the homely ambience of our rooms. Anvershiel has been a B&B for years but we (Alan & Janice) took over the business recently, having bought it in 2015 and we are keen to impress! We are right on the circuit of the annual motorcycle road race which takes place each May

We are an energetic couple in our 50s, both full of enthusiasm for our new home and career! A former bank official, Alan is keen on walking, sport, spreading the craic and providing guests with first class service; he can always be relied on for advice on local eateries, attractions and events, even helping to charter boats when guests want to view the coast from a different perspective. Janice, a careers adviser, loves film and literature and she personally ensures the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation and the quality breakfast selection is top notch. Both owners have travelled extensively throughout Ireland and are always ready to compare notes about your travel plans, highlight roads less travelled and share your delight in the area.

Portrush is a charming, friendly and safe place. Anvershiel B&B sits in a comfortable residential area, merely yards from the beach, the promenade and harbour and it is a leisurely stroll of 3/4 of a mile to some of NI's finest restaurants. We are 1/2 a mile from Royal Portrush and Rathmore golf clubs less than 4 miles from Portstewart, 5 from Giant's Causeway and 6 from Bushmills. Whether you visit as a tourist, are a Game of Thrones fan, or are coming to play golf, surf, enjoy coastal walks or bird-watching, there are so many hidden local gems to discover besides the Giant's Causeway itself. Perhaps we can tempt you to stay longer - how else will you have the opportunity to maybe catch the Aurora over our northern skies, see the smallest church in Ireland, the oldest bonded brewery in the world and, simply, to enjoy our amazing natural landscape?
