Ards House is a traditional Victorian Villa situated on the shores of Loch Etive, in the small picturesque village of Connel. It is within a 15-minute walk from Connel Ferry Train Station, a bus stop and the local pub.
Ards House boasts panoramic views across the bay and mountains, and is just 5 miles north of the busy and popular town of Oban. Oban offers ferries to Isle of Mull and beyond, and is famous for its sea food.
All rooms have been individually styled, most have sea views, and all have en-suite bathrooms. One of the highlights of the house is the large guest drawing room, with spectacular sea views, an open fire, a grand piano and a large flat-screen TV.
Ards House offer a wide range of choice for breakfast, from a traditional cooked Scottish breakfast to smoked salmon, kippers and much more. All dishes are served using fresh and locally sourced produce. Ards House benefits from a large private car park and free WiFi.
Ards House is a traditional Victorian Villa still keeping much of its original charm, warmth, and character. It benefits from a large guest car park opposite on the shores of the Forth of Lorn. From here many of our guests enjoy to relax watching the spectacular sunsets. Sea Otters, seals and an array of birds are frequent visitors to our shores.
We (Steve & Ilze) warmly welcome you to Ards House, we are in our third season running our four star B & B. We feel very fortunate to live here in such a beautiful part of the world, with panoramic views across the Forth of Lorn, surrounded by mountains and the Morvern Hills beyond.
We are located in the small village of Connel. From the house it is only a short walk to local bars and restaurants, village shop, church, train station and bus stops. We are only five miles from Oban which is very popular with visitors, famous for its sea food and port with ferry services to a variety of beautiful Scottish islands. It is an ideal location for exploring the west coast of Scotland, with numerous historic places of interest, never ending scenic views and the magnificent wildlife.
