Ashford Cottage is a spacious ground floor apartment on Burton Manor Farm located near Bakewell in the Peak District National Park. It has one twin bedroom and a shower room, the cottage can sleep two people. Also inside there is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. To the outside there is ample off road parking and a shared lawn garden with furniture. Ashford Cottage is a pleasant cottage in a splendid location.
A market town with a rural atmosphere offering shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as farmers markets. There is a 17th century market hall and a leisure centre nearby. Bakewell is in the Peak District National Park and is ideally placed for exploring the area. The Dark Peak and the White Peak are within easy reach. Also Alton Towers is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, with the caverns in nearby Castleton and Little Johns burial place in Hathersage are also worth a visit. Take a trip to Buxton and visit the impressive Edwardian Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium.
