Within a few minutes you will be amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in the country, and should you venture further afield you will discover some delightful villages nestled in the heart of The Lakes. Our guest lounge provides tea & coffee and we often provide home made cakes on your return.. All our rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated, with fresh milk delivered to your door each day, as well as fresh bottled water. We took over Avondale Guest House in April 2016 and have tried to uphold the excellent reputation that it had built. Our goal is to provide you with a clean and comfortable environment to enable you to enjoy your stay here in Keswick. As keen walkers and cyclists we can offer advice on the local area and routes, whether you are walking the Wainwrights or looking for a gentle stroll around the lakes and fells. As keen walkers we also understand that The Lakes weather can be varied and can provide full drying facilities to ensure you start each day dry. We are committed to cleanliness and a high standard of service and hope we can make your stay an enjoyable one.

Southey Street is ideally situated and enables you to be in the centre of Keswick within a few mins, allowing you to enjoy all that Keswick has to offer. With a market twice a week you can also discover some of the local produce of the area. Parking is on street and free, allowing you to park the car and forget it while you explore the area. You can also take advantage of the excellent local transport and explore some of the beautiful surrounding villages.
