One of our top picks in Criccieth. Directly on the seafront, Awel Mor is located in Criccieth. Free parking is available along the road or in the nearby public car park. Criccieth Castle is just 900 yards away.
Each room offers a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The en-suite shower rooms have towels and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms boast fantastic sea views.
In the mornings, Awel Mor serves cooked breakfast. The property has a south-facing guest lounge and a patio area to the front, with seating.
The town centre of Criccieth is a 10-minute walk away. Guests at the Awel Mor can explore the nearby Snowdonia National Park and the Portmeirion. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways are within 5 miles of the property.
The Awel Mor is a four storey Victorian terraced house dating back to the 1850's. Originally built for the sea Captains who sailed out of Porthmadog so that their families could see them leave or wait for their arrival in the Bay. Unrestricted views of Cardigan Bay across to Harlech and beyond can be enjoyed from the front of the property
We have owned the property since 2019 and love seeing the fantastic sea and mountain views every day.
Criccieth is a delightfully unspoilt seaside town on the Llyn Peninsula. The Awel Mor is situated directly across the road from the beach and the coastal path. The historic Criccieth Castle can be seen from our front patio and is just a short stroll away as are the many tea rooms, pubs, shops and excellent restaurants that are in the small town of Criccieth. Ideally situated between the towns of Porthmadog and Pwllheli and close to all the attractions of the Llyn Peninsula and the Snowdonia National Park makes it a perfect base for outdoor enthusiasts.
