The flat is split over 2 floors above a restaurant / cafe. The street offers a number of different restaurants, pubs and cafes, shopping and 2 supermarkets.
The street itself and “The Vault” are actually quite popular with its restaurants and cafes. It’s a bit more local but still walkable to SoHo, Trafalgar SQ and so on. The spot is great, you have a number of restaurants of all kinds around. Bus and tube (Waterloo Station) can bring you where ever you want to go. You can also walk to Southbank and cross the river. There are three bridges, one to Big Ben and House of Parliaments, one to Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus, one to Somerset House and Covent Garden. The Southbank invites to visit one of the museums, experience the view from London Eye, make a boat trip or enjoy watching street artists. The central areas of London are rather safe at night. I walk often from Waterloo to the more central areas, even at night and never had any trouble. There are areas, especially in east London, where some feel different, but not here.
