Bank Farm House is a private home and no longer a farm. It is situated a little off the beaten track, half way between Chirbury and Priestweston. We are surrounded by hills, woodland and fields with stunning views of Corndon and the Kerry Valley. Here, in this beautiful location, it is extremely quiet and peaceful. There are no traffic noises - only birdsong! Guests have access to an interesting garden with seating areas. Breakfast is not included but can be provided if required . Special dietary needs and evening meals can be arranged if notified in advance. There is now a newly refurbished self catering unit next to the main house. It has one double bedroom with French windows ,and outside decking with a seating area and a view overlooking a beautiful garden and the Welsh countryside. The shower room has a heated towel rail. The kitchen is well equipped and has washing and ironing facilities. In the sitting area there is a comfortable sofa bed suitable for two people. There is a 32 inch television. There is secure storage for cycles and free WiFi and parking. The approach to my house from the road is across a short track. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
I welcome guests to my house as friends and want everyone to feel completely at home. There is always plenty of laughter and lively conversation here. The Bank Farm House breakfast is delicious and guests are welcome to wander round my beautiful garden. My daughter, Lisa, is a talented and experienced artist. She lives on site and guests are welcome to visit her studio.
Here the surrounding countryside is perfect for walkers and cyclists. Those with an interest in history will enjoy visiting castles, particularly Powis Castle with it’s stunning rooms and enormous garden. Iron bridge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, is a charming town and has several museums, one of which is outdoor and built in the style of a Victorian village. Ludlow is the largest town here in South Shropshire and has many listed buildings including examples of medieval and Tudor style half-timbered buildings. It has a well deserved reputation for excellent food due to the high quality of the local produce. Anyone with an interest in palaeontology will know that the rocks here are Silurian and there are areas where interesting fossils can be found. Close to the village of Chirbury are a number of very good eating places.
