Located in the world heritage city of Bath, this charming Victorian boating station is less than a mile from the famous Roman Baths. Overlooking the river Avon, it offers free Wi-Fi in some rooms, free on-site parking and a restaurant.
The accommodation at Bath Boating Station each features a bathroom with a shower, complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. There is also a seating area with a sofa, a private entrance, a fridge and kitchenware. Both properties have a river view.
Bath city centre is a short 20-minute walk from the property. Alternatively, we offer guests use of the Boating Station, explore the river by punting rowing or canoeing. The boat hire is a seasonal business, open on selected days.
The Jane Austen Centre is just 18 minutes’ walk from the property and Sham Castle is a 16-minute stroll to the south. Bath Spa Train Station is also a 21-minute walk away.
We were established in 1833, it was bought by our family in 1914, 5th generation is now in charge. We only have two self catering properties, The Garden Room (studio flat) and Toad Hall (2 bed cottage).
We are a family run, business based close to bath city centre. We offer two gorgeous places to stay; our converted boat house which is now a beautiful, cosy two bedroom cottage and our garden room, a romantic and peaceful studio flat. On site we have two dogs and two cats, all very friendly and may try to leave with you. There is a restaurant on site, filled with good food and smiley waitresses, search The Bathwick Boatman. Join us in winter for a quiet, peaceful stay, where you can have the gardens to yourself and enjoy baths markets, views and history. Or join us in summer, when the river comes alive, with boats and sunshine. Motor Boat trips - we offer one free lift at 9:30am into the centre of town when the boats run. Wednesday - Friday we offer free boat hire for one hour, try rowing or punting! (summer only). Bath City Centre is around a 15 minute walk, the walk is gorgeous and historical, with sites such as the Holburne museum and Great Pulteney street on the way to town. All towels and linen are provided! We offer the essentials tea, coffee, biscuits and cooking oil. Please note baby cots and extra beds are not available.
We are a 15 minute to the centre of town, where there are plenty of restaurants and attractions. In the summer season our boating station is open Wednesday - Sunday 10am-5:30pm. There is a restaurant on site if you don't want to go out in the evenings, Open lunch and evening, Thursday to Saturday and Sunday Lunch. The nearest supermarket (walking distance) is Waitrose around a 15 minute walk (Location - The podium, Northgate Street). The second (driving distance) is a Morrisons (Location - London Road).
