Bay Lodge is a six-bedroom Victorian guest house situated in a conservation area on the seafront in Eastbourne. The guest rooms are arranged over three floors (please note there is no lift) and all rooms have en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms. Two of the front rooms have sea views with one having a large balcony with outside seating. All rooms are for adult occupation only - ideal for a child free break! There is a car park at the rear with two spaces and there is also free on street parking nearby for those who arrive after the car park is full. Free wifi is available throughout the building. Full English breakfast with free range eggs and good quality local butcher's sausages. Lots of cereals to choose from, tinned and fresh fruit and yogurt. Continental breakfast - ham, cheese, bread can be provided if requested in advance. Special diets catered for please contact us before your visit. Please note breakfast is 8.30-10am.
The Bay Lodge has been run by Hayley and Jon since November 2018. We aim to provide comfortable accommodation and a quality breakfast at a reasonable price and to make all of our guests feel welcome.
Bay Lodge is situated on the seafront near the Redoubt Napoleonic Fortress, the bowling green, the Pavilion Tea Gardens with its annual free exhibition and cafe, and of course the pebble beach. Nearby is Treasure Island and Fisherman's Green with its fresh fish shop, tennis and basketball courts. A 10-15 minute stroll along the promenade will take you to the pier and from there it is a short distance to the shops and town centre. A five-minute walk down the side streets and you will find Seaside Road with local shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, and a little further is the Hippodrome Theatre. The other theatres and Devonshire Park are about 25 minutes walk along the seafront.
