Wildlife including deer, foxes, rabbits, and many species of birds are often seen in the garden. For the children, there is a large rear garden laid to lawn but the boundaries are unsecured and lead directly into 19 acres of woodland. Though secluded, Birchcroft is only 6 miles from Bournemouth beaches and all the town’s facilities, has an ample supply of excellent pubs and restaurants in walking distance, [you can walk to The Angel Pub through the woods at the bottom of the garden, but remember a torch for the return journey!] as well as many well-known golf courses [Parkstone, Ferndown, Isle of Purbeck]. I'm Mum to 4 children with 2 grandsons. I run a self -catering and student let business in Dorset and enjoy life. My husband Richard and I are re-building a barn conversion in Cornwall so I drive around the country a lot. I am a member of Bournemouth North Rotary, Bournemouth Tangent and The West Hants Club. My life is very hectic but I enjoy being constantly on the go and computers. Birchcroft was my family home and was designed and built by my father, a water engineer. After my parents passed away, as a family we decided to let other people enjoy it as much as we do and hence it became a holiday home. My assistant Mary Pidgely has worked for me for many years and she now organises the cleaners, etc that keep Birchcroft running smoothly while I organise bookings and future projects. Her husband Mike is the gardener and you will love their dog Rufus who thinks the garden is his alone! If the TVs don't work we call son James and if something else needs fixing we call son Simon. They are identical twins so you might get them mixed up! Birchcroft can give you an unique holiday experience from walks in the grounds, beautiful sunsets and a wonderful playground for the children
Birchcroft is hidden away in over an acre of rhododendron woods, with walks in the local area and several lovely pubs within walking distance. However it is only 6 miles from the centre of Bournemouth with its 7 miles of golden sandy beaches, 10 cinemas, theatres, nightclubs, shopping and numerous restaurants to cater for all tastes. It has easy access to many National Trust properties as well as the Jurassic Coat, the New Forest, Poole Harbour and the Isle of Wight.
