Information about the host

My daughter and I bought the townhouse 10 years ago for our use and for holiday letting. Currently we offer holiday lets over the summer and as a student let the rest of the year. The house has a mix of furniture and artworks.. The townhouse on three levels has lovely proportions and interesting architectural features. It is located in the historic Georgian New Town and was built in 1860.

My father and mother had a farm and later a popular Edinburgh cafe. I worked for a number of years as a wine salesman. mainly in the Scottish Highlands. Now I spend time looking after the lets and time with my daughter and grandchildren. I enjoy meeting ll the guests and always glad to have a chat if you wish. I live nearby so usually available if ever required.

The neighbourhood is mainly residential yet close to the centre, and has supermarkets, local shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, walks and parks within our area.
