Black Swan

This traditional 17th-century Cumbrian inn is set in the Eden Valley, between the old market towns of Appleby and Penrith. It has a cosy bar with a log fire, and has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

Each room at Black Swan has a carpeted floor and wooden furnishings. Rooms all come with a flat-screen digital TV, and facilities for making tea and coffee.

The Black Swan owns fishing rights on a 4.5 miles stretch of the picturesque River Eden, famous for trout and salmon fishing. Guests at the Black Swan can request a pass to enjoy free fishing onsite. A wide range of fishing lakes are also available within a 15-minute drive.
