Change over is only on a Friday for Blisland Cottage which is a detached character cottage set in large south facing gardens with a third of a mile from the beautiful village of Blisland. The village has a green (unusual for Cornwall) with a great pub (serving food), a stunning church and a community shop/post office. There are three double bedrooms (two double, one twin), a bathroom and a separate shower room. There are two reception rooms with wood burning stoves, a large kitchen breakfast room with Aga (lit in cooler months), conservatory, utility room and downstairs w.c. There is off road parking for approximately 4 cars. There is also broadband, and good 3G signal at the property.
My family has owned the cottage for the last 30 years and have continually upgraded and refurbished it for our guests.
Blisland is a great base for a holiday in Cornwall, just off the extensive and picturesque Bodmin Moor with extensive open walking, and of equal distance between the north and south coasts. Blisland is one of the most sought after villages in the County, at its heart is the village green and the Parish church of St Proteus and St Hyacinth. The village store/post office also has a cafe, and with a village pub which also serves wholesome food you are well catered for. The cottage is on national cycle route 3 and the Camel Trail is at the bottom of the valley which can take you up the Camel Valley to Wenford Dries (great Snails Pace Cafe), and down through Bodmin and Wadebridge to the fantastic village of Padstow (center of the Rick Stein restaurant business). The National Trust house "Lanhydrock" is 15 mins away and the Eden Project 30 mins away, even St Ives in the far west of the county is only an hour.
