Blows cottage is a 17th century detached stone cottage in the picturesque village of Clipsham, home to the renowned village pub, the Olive Branch, Good Pub Guide 2021- “UK Pub of the year”. The cottage once belonged to the Clipsham Hall Estate being occupied by the estate workers. Following the sale of the cottage, it was named Blows Cottage after the last estate workers to occupy the cottage, Mr and Mrs Blow. The cottage has since been extended and combines many original features with tasteful refurbishment to give characterful and comfy country living. The English cottage garden is enclosed by low stone walls and has outstanding views over the Clipsham Hall estate with its parkland trees, grazing spring lambs and visiting deer. The terrace, with outdoor dining furniture, is the perfect spot to unwind.

The interior of the cottage combines original features, exposed beams, deep inset windows, a Clipsham stone fireplace with a log burner. The cottage provides accommodation for up to 5 people with 3 reception rooms, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Smart TV in the sitting room means you can sign into your Netflix or Amazon Prime account to enjoy your favourite programs during your stay. Wi-Fi is provided. Clipsham is a quintessential Rutland village in a prime location to explore England's smallest county. The village, in addition to being home to the Olive Branch, has a striking historic church and is home to the famous Yew Tree Avenue. The village is ideally located to explore Rutland Water, the Georgian market towns of Stamford, Oakham and Bourne.

A 2 minute walk takes you to The Olive Branch, to enjoy outstanding food and drinks either inside or in the charming pub garden. A 5 minute walk gets you to Yew Tree Avenue which was originally the carriage drive to Clipsham Hall, hence its length and its avenue-ness, but it is now a stunning place to walk alongside the topiary creations. A 10 minute drive and you are at Rutland Water, where you can walk, cycle, picnic, fish, sail or just relax. A similar distance is the charming market town of Stamford, with it’s range of boutique shops, coffee houses, restaurants and wine bars. .
