Surf Snowdonia is one of the latest crazes just 10 minutes away, with Zip World further down the valley. And the picturesque Groes Inn - Wales's oldest and award-winning pub - is also just down the road for a fine meal and a long drink. If you enjoy walking, Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and England and not to be missed, but there are other mountains to climb, such as Tryfan (the test ground for explorers of Everest) and the Carneddau Range. For the historically minded, North Wales is dominated by stone castles, but there are plenty of other properties to visit, like Port Meirion where the cult TV series "The Prisoner" was filmed, and the National Trust's Plas Newydd.
