Information about the host

A converted barn on a non-working farm, next door to our family home. We are on the out skirts of an amazing village with excellent amenities, shop, 3x pubs, cafe, post office.... Holbrook is also a great base for walking, cycling and trips to the Peak District

I'm Lizzie, my partner Steven and I live next door to Boothswood barn along with our two boys, James and Jack. Even though this is a non-working farm I do actually spend most of my days working on a 'proper' farm 3 miles away. With cattle and children I have little time for hobbies :(! Steven is a keen musician, drums mostly (he has an electric set at home so please don't worry about noise!), he also does a lot of cycling so please let us know if you'd like to know any good routes

We have the village shop 100m down the road and two real ale pubs not much further away. In addition we have the community owned Spotted Cow pub and Spotted Calf Cafe 10 minutes walk away, all of which give Holbrook a great village feel. Holbrook is a sited on a hill and the views can be spectacular. There are also some great walks that go through our village taking you to the nearby Little Eaton, Milford and Duffield.
