The Peak District village of Castleton is situated at the top of the Hope Valley, on the doorstep of some great walking country. It boasts the Norman Peverill Castle Keep, is world-famous for its visitor caves and the beautiful semi precious stone Blue John which is only found and mined here. There is an array of gift shops, food pubs and a Visitor Centre. Nearby are the villages of Edale, Hope and Hathersage.
