About the property: Our place is in the ancient village of Bainbridge, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It faces on to the expansive green and has a riverside garden. On the opposite side of the river stands Brough Hill, where the remains of Virosidum Roman fort can be found. It is ideally situated for fishing, walking and cycling. It has three good sized bedrooms. Millside Room has a king sized bed, two easy chairs and TV / Netflix. Riverside Room has a king sized bed and a vanity unit with wash basin. Greenside Room has a king sized bed and built in wardrobe. There is also a single sized luxury fold away bed which can be moved to any room, and a travel cot. There is a brand new spacious family bathroom with shower, bath, and heated towel rail. We have a downstairs toilet and cloakroom too. The country style kitchen is open plan to the dining room, where you will find a large table that extends to seat 10 people. In the living room we have a wood burning stove, a six seater corner sofa, a three seater sofa, a reclining rocking chair and a TV / Netflix. The property has super-fast wireless internet throughout. It is perfect for family gatherings or groups.

About the outside space and the neighbourhood: The outside space has a terraced garden leading down to the river Bain, on which we have fishing rights. There are outdoor tables and chairs, a fire pit and BBQ for al fresco dining, and a further small seating area at the front of the house overlooking the green. There is a well equipped children's playground a short distance away which can be reached without crossing any roads. Askrigg village and the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn are nearby. There is no dedicated parking space at the cottage but it is usually possible for one car to park by the front door and there is free parking around the green. We are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of outstanding beauty, and we are within easy driving distance of the Lake District National Park, which adjoins The Dales.
