North Mains Cottage is a wonderful semi-detached cottage resting in the grounds of Craigievar Castle near Alford, Aberdeenshire. Hosting an all-ground-floor layout and home to two twin bedrooms, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to four guests. There is also a kitchen and a living/dining room with a woodburning stove. Outside there is parking beside the property and access to the castle grounds. North Mains Cottage makes a perfect base for a holiday to Scotland with friends. Note: There is no WiFi at this property. Alford is a small rural town resting in Aberdeenshire sitting by the River Don and the hills of Bennachie and Coreen. The town boasts a rich history as it is home to the Battle of Alford battleground, Alford Heritage Centre and the Grampian Transport Museum. Alford has a variety of shops, with a local butcher and a pub, as well as local fish van visiting every Tuesday and a fish and chip van every Thursday. Just outside the town is the spectacular Craigievar Castle, while Alford also has Alford Golf Course and Haughton and Murray country park.
