The Hosts Since March 2018, Terry and De have run Carlton Court, in the heart of Torquay. Their trade mark, exceptional customer service, is matched by Terry’s expertise in the kitchen, where his long career in hospitality include senior positions at The Savoy and The Connaught, in addition to his own London restaurant which was ranked in the top 100 in the UK. Terry is thrilled that one of his house specialities, the omelette Arnold Bennet, created at The Savoy way back in the 1920s, is so popular with the guests. Although most of the food served is made in house, the dry cured bacon and sausages are from a local butcher who has won the award of best butcher from Taste of the South West for the last two years.
