We are sitting on over 2000 years of history in the form of the iconic northern frontier of the Roman Empire - Hadrian's Wall. Visitors to the area will be able to experience the frontier for themselves by visiting the forts and the wall itself by day. By night you will be able to marvel at the night sky and take in a bit of star gazing.
