Carriage Cottage is an original coach house converted into a lovely country escape set in the stunning grounds of a Grade 1 listed Davenport House. There is a spacious open plan kitchen fully equipped for self catering, dining and living area divided by the old stable stall, and high ceilings which make it feel light and expansive. Very comfortably furnished it has two large beautifully appointed bedrooms with king size beds and day beds, sleeping 6. A charming garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue are at your disposal and you'll find Heaven toiletries and a hair dryer in the cottage. Combining original features and chic interior design, alongside the warmth of a family residence, Davenport House is an enchanting setting which you get to enjoy from your very own spot in a historic mansion.

My family and I live at Davenport House where we organised weddings and events, and enjoy hosting guests in the charming cottages which have been converted from the original stables, carriage house, gamekeeper's, coachman's and gardener's house. The house dates back to 1727 and is steeped in history. We love living here and sharing the experience!

We're located in walking distance from the lovely village of Worfield which has a noteworthy historic church, local pub and small village shop. There are beautiful walks throughout the grounds and beyond, you can walk to the local pub or venture a little further into Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge or Shrewsbury, where you'll find culture and more history, museums, great places to eat and all kinds of leisure facilities and entertainment.
