Boasting a terrace, Cefncethin Farmhouse offers accommodation in Llandeilo with free WiFi and mountain views. Situated 5.6 miles from Dinefwr Castle, the property features a garden and free private parking.
The holiday home features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a patio with garden views.
If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings.
The house is very spacious, downstairs there is a large kitchen diner, a small lounge suitable for reading, listening to music or snoozing on the large sofa. Further on there is a large living room which sits eight comfortably. The accommodation is very light an there are four access points to the enclosed garden/ small courtyard surrounding the house so it's safe for small children not to wonder. Opposite the house there is a larger lawned area with a raised terrace and picnic table. Upstairs there are five bedrooms, 3 doubles and two singles, I have not tried to cram beds in as I would rather have less guests and give you enough space to be comfortable. There is a shower/toilet downstairs and upstairs two further bathrooms, one with an enclosed shower, bath and toilet, the other with a bath and toilet.
My husband & I lived at Cefncethin Farmhouse after getting married however when my parent-in-law retired we moved back to the main farm some 5 min away where we run a busy dairy farm. The land leading down the drive and adjoining the lawn is farmed by us and during the summer months we keep young heifers in the field next to the lawn, who given their inquisitive nature will probably pop their heads over the gate to say hello. We sold the traditional outbuildings and so the farmhouse sits on the edge of a small courtyard development, the site is very quiet and I really enjoyed living at Cefncethin, if you are lucky sometimes you can see wild deer on the fields and certainly you will see plenty of wild rabbits and birds. We are often complimented about the location of the house in that it is very convenient to the local town and also major roads with the M4 being approx 15 min away, however when you get to Cefncethin you do feel that you are truly in the coutryside without feeling isolated, and hope that you will like the location just as much as we do.
The beautiful market town of Llandeilo is some 3 miles away, it has an array of independent shops and eateries and is ideal for a relaxed mooch. We are blessed with three castles within a 5 mile radius those being Carreg Cennen, Dryslwyn and Dinefwr Castles. There are a few National Trust Properties in the area including Newton House, Dolau Cothi Goldmines, Aberdulais Falls and Llanerchaeron. Beautiful beaches are within a 40-60 min drive and days out to Tenby, New Quay or Saundersfoot are often on the list of places to go. Llansteffan is also a great place to visit as there is a beach and on the hill above an impressive castle. There is plenty of walking available an we are less than a mile from the Beacons National Park and also plenty of cycling available in the Brechfa Forest and cycle trails along the millennium coastal trail at Llanelli. In short there is plenty to do in the area and there are even a few good parks less than 2 miles away if the kids just want to play on the swings.
