Chatley House was built in 1794 and is a Grade 2 listed Georgian house on the outskirts of the historic town of Warminster. Our guests stay in the early 19th Century coach house apartment, which adjoins the main house but is wholly self-contained and has its own front door. With its ancient beams, the charming coach house has a main room with double-bed, comfy sitting area, galley kitchen, table for 4, TV, dvd and wi-fi. Off the main room is an en-suite bathroom with shower, wc and hand basin. Providing for two additional guests is easy - via a connecting door we just link the coach house to a twin-bedded room in the main part of the house. The coach house is ideal for a cosy stay for two and with its space is also perfect for young families - let us know if we can help with a cot or high chair. We are situated on a road leading in and out of Warminster so naturally there is traffic. Few of our guests comment on this but if you are only used to the buzz of bees or the whisper of wind in tree tops then you may notice it. The vast majority of the traffic has died away by about 7pm.
We have lived in our lovely house for 25 years and are delighted that you will be able to enjoy it too. Although I am now retired, I was a Great Ormond Street children's nurse and then a health visitor. My interests are tennis and golf, painting and am a keen cook. I enjoy walking in the beautiful countryside around Warminster. Although Wiltshire is now our home, my husband John and I have lived in a number of countries - France, Australia, The Netherlands and Germany - and love travelling, and of course hosting our guests!
The area abounds with places of interest, such as Stonehenge, Georgian Bath and Salisbury. There are many National Trust houses within easy distance and the Jurassic Coast is not far away
