Heywood Hall

Just 7 miles south of the stunning Peak District and a 5-minute drive from Alton Towers Theme Park, the family-run Heywood Hall offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. It features a hot tub and sauna, and a pretty garden to relax in.

The suites are spacious and comfortable, with their own mini kitchen and an en suite bathroom. Each also benefits from a TV and a DVD player.

Heywood Hall is situated along the Staffordshire Way, close to the end of the Limestone Way. Derby is 20 miles from the building, and Nottingham can also be reached in less than an hour by car. Stoke-on-Trent can be reached in 25 minutes’ drive.

Information about the host

A lovely family manor house built in 1885, with apartments adjoining. A stream runs in front of the property , which is delightful in the summer. It stands adjacent to the disused Churnet Valley railway which is a beautiful walking route into Dimmingsdale and the Staffordshire Way. The garden is a pretty courtyard where visitors can relax, and enjoy the hot tub and sauna.

Joseph and Alison would be delighted to welcome you to their home. Experienced hoteliers having owned a run a country house in Worcestershire for 27 years. Heywood Hall is an opportunity for us to continue in the hospitality business, allowing a little more free time to spend with our family. Having just started our third season we are enjoying out new life and home. We hope you will feel the warmth and comfort this lovely old house generates as much as we do.

Denstone has a wealth of activities to offer: 1. Walking along the Staffordshire way, in Dimmingsdale and finding the Chained Oak. the Staffordshire Peak District is right on the doorstep. 2. Stoke on Trent with is Pottery heritage is within 20 minutes from us. 3. Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest next door with Aerial Extreme are 20 minutes away. 4. Ski slope in Stoke, Ice skating and bowling in Uttoxeter. 5. Rudyard lake, Carsington Water (30 minutes) are great for water sports Rudyard lake also has a narrow gauge railway. 6. Manifold Valley, Tissington trail, (20 minutes ) Churnet Valley disused railway track alongside Heywood Hall are all great for cycling. 7. Chatsworth House, Sudbury Hall, Kedleston Hall, Calke Abbey , Stately homes all wine 40 minutes drive. 8. Horse Racing: Uttoxeter Racecourse 10 minutes drive.
