Cladh-A-Muillin Lodge is a charming two bedroom cottage set in picturesque Millhouse on Argyll's Secret Coast. Surrounded by natural beauty and history the cottage is ideal to enjoy a relaxed holiday. A superb position bordered between the spectacular Kyles of Bute and Loch Fyne. Combining modern and traditional furnishings the cottage provides character and history, perfect for couples, honeymooners, families, or walkers. Just a short walk from the cottage you can enjoy distant sea views. This path is also part of the famous Cowal Way walking trail. The surrounding area is also well-known for its sandy white beach on Ostel Bay, a pure haven for scenic beach walks. The sitting room is filled with comfortable chairs and a sofa to unwind, and a wood burning fire for those chilly nights in. The living room also includes a dining area to enjoy homemade feasts. Feel at home in your well equipped kitchen. Featuring two lovely styled bedrooms, both tastefully decorated, a charming double bedroom and a spacious twin bedroom. Cladh-A-Mhuillinn Lodge is the original gate keepers cottage located in Millhouse where high grade black gunpowder was manufactured from 1839 to 1921. The ruins of the Mill are still visible in the woods nearby. Near the cottage there is a monument to those killed in explosions at the Gunpowder Mill, a small cannon designed to test the powder, and a timekeeping bell. Argyll’s Secret Coast is rich in Highland history, dotted with ruins and and ancient sites and castles. Packed with places to visit and things to do, walkers, cyclists, sailors and artists are all drawn to this area. The village of Kames is just over a mile away, and just over two miles away is Portavadie, the well known marina, with a leisure spa, swimming pools and restaurants.
