Situated on the western border of the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean in the Wye Valley and within walking distance of the delightful village of St. Briavels, these two neighbouring cottages, Dovecote and Coachman's Cottages on opposite sides of a sunny courtyard, are the perfect place for holiday makers. The Coachman's Cottage has 2 bedrooms, a pine panelled living room and kitchen/dining room. A glazed door opens from the living room onto a pretty south facing garden and there is an open fire for those cosy nights during the winter months. Dovecote Cottage was originally part of an old stone water mill dating back to 1350 and has 4 bedrooms and an enclosed lawned garden which is very safe for children. Both cottages have solar powered hot water and photovoltaic panels to generate electricity. The Cottages can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests with Dovecote Cottage having facilities for 12 to dine together. Both properties have gas fired central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-fi included. Each has a garden with sitting out area and garden furniture. No smoking. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement.

Historic towns nearby include Gloucester and Tewkesbury with their impressive cathedrals, Regency Cheltenham, Monmouth and Chepstow. Within easy driving distance are Bath and Somerset across the Severn Estuary and in the other direction the beautiful Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Gloucester and Tewkesbury with their impressive cathedrals. Museums at Chepstow and Monmouth and All Saints Church in Newland known as 'The Cathedral of The Forest' as well as Tintern Abbey are worth a visit. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
