We are a local couple (Dave & Wendy, with famiies going back over 300yrs) running a Bed & Breakfast offering a high standard of accommodation with exceptionally clean, bright, warm & comfortable rooms. We have a reception /guest lounge as you enter the building, next is the dining room that can be arranged in ways to suit groups or couples. The 6 guests rooms are on the next 2 floors. We have 3 doubles, 1 king & 2 family/twin rooms. All have en-suite showers. Colebrooke house was built in 1898 and still has orignal features such as fire places, stone work & stained glass windows. We are set in the heart of the Jurassic coast & South West coast path, with good bus & train links. Beer still retains it old world charm while have plenty of places to dine (indoors & on the beach). The beach has pebbles with rock pools and beautiful clean sea to swim in. You can also hire motor boats for fishing or go with the fishermen on deep sea angling trips. We have great fossil hunting beaches nearby & the Historic Beer Quarry caves a 10 minute walk from us.
We have a large family with grandchildren and 5 generations still living in the village. We enjoy walking, swimming, fishing & looking after grandchildren.
Beer is a fishing village on the Jurrasic coast with a Blue flag swimming bay. We are 10 miles from Sidmouth & Lyme Regis. The nearest city & airport is Exeter just 19.6 miles from Colebrooke House. In Beer there are plenty of restaurants/bars to suit all taste. The 2 main attractions are Beer Quarry caves & Pecorama (great for children & adults), both with indoor/outdoor attractions. Available on the beach are fishing trips, self drive motor boats and cafes. It is a safe place for all ages with parks and places to sit with wonderfull views. Walking is very enjoyable on the south west coast path, you will be able to spot many types of birds & wild life.
