Conasg is a modern house built in a spectacular location overlooking the Lossie and Leanach river valleys. A deck with hot tub overlooks fields and rolling hills; the living room and bedroom enjoy a beautiful outlook over a large garden and the steep valley, a site of special scientific interest. There are several peaceful seating areas throughout the garden. Bantam chickens roam a large enclosure, and if they are laying, their eggs are available to residents. The kitchen, den and dining room are spacious and open-plan; a study is available for use with free WiFi, a printer and shredder. There’s a 60 inch movie screen and projector in the living room, together with a large selection of DVDs and a DVD player with Netflix and streaming enabled. A second bedroom is available downstairs for an extra two people, though it has no ensuite bathroom. Older children are welcome, though a pond, the hot tub and the precipitous hillside make this property unsuitable for small children.

Elgin is a friendly market town just five miles down the road, with restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Almost as easy to reach are Lossiemouth - a gorgeous seaside town with two fine beaches; Findhorn - a lively and charming village on a secluded bay of the Moray Firth that offers a wide variety of water sports; and Nairn - home of arts and literary festivals as well as a thriving marina. The mountains and lochs of the Cairngorms are as accessible as the spectacular Moray beaches. Many world-famous whisky distilleries are close enough for a morning or afternoon visit; your host can provide transport if you’d like to avoid driving and taste the produce! Riders are welcome to bring their horses or ponies - livery is available a few hundred yards from the property for a small additional fee.
