Information about the host

Our guest house is a situated in Kirkcolm, a small village on the northern tip of the Rhinns peninsula in Dumfries and Galloway. The town of Stranraer is 7 miles south of the village, within a 20-minute drive east is the picturesque harbour village of Portpatrick and towards the west the village of Cairnryan, where ferry services to Northern Ireland depart from. The Corsewall Arms has been family owned for over 25 years. Originally brought back to life from its semi derelict state by our parents the mid-19th century former hotel has seen some changes over the years. Latterly the property was the family home but when our parents decided to downsize, we had the chance to take over the reins and felt that it was time to welcome guests back through the doors at the Corsewall Arms. We have spent the past two years refurbishing the property and are pleased with the modern yet cosy feel we have achieved in our guest rooms and breakfast rooms.
