It's a busy family cottage with an enclosed garden and outdoor heated swimming pool ( April to September) which (if open) guests are welcome to use. It isn't the finished article but you will have your own clean and newly rennovated double room and private bathroom.

My name is Holly I'm married to Douglas and we have 3 teenage children and 2 lovely dogs. I am a psychiatric nurse and in my spare time I look after other people's dogs at our home . I enjoy life and love socialising.

Welcome to Rose Cottage .Langley Upper Green is a small hamlet in North Essex close the borders of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Popular for ramblers and cyclists. For drivers it's convenient for Saffron Walden, Bishops Stortford, Royston and Cambridge . It is in a very peaceful rural area and with lots of walks and a local pub which does light meals at weekends. It is clean and free from light pollution. This is great if you want a peaceful night or quiet place to retreat to. If you come to Langley you will need your own transport as there is no bus service and taxis can be very expensive. For those who enjoy walking there are lots of lovely walks around. North ,South ,East or West. The Bull pub in Lower Langley is within walking distance and on occasion does light meals . Also in the village is Poppy's barn which does great coffee, cooked breakfasts and light lunches and an extensive selection of cakes. For longer walk easterly across the fields is Clavering Lakes popular with local anglers and which is on the way via Stickling Green to Jamie Oliver's father's pub which is very popular and has a diverse food beer and wine list.
