Nettleton is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire. The parish includes the villages of Nettleton, Burton and West Kington, and the hamlets of Horsedown, Nettleton Shrub and West Kington Wick. The northern section of Nettleton village is known as Nettleton Green, with the name Nettleton meaning "the place where nettles grow'' - gardeners in the village certainly know the truth of that! There are some 80 households in Nettleton village which lie within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many good walks in the area and the Macmillian Way long distance footpath runs through the parish.
