Cragend Grange is a 16th century building that was converted in Victorian times as part of a model farm for Cragside, a local National Trust property. It has two guest rooms for bed and breakfast visitors. The property offers free WiFi and there is a terrace.
At the bed and breakfast, each room features a private bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities.
A Full English/Irish, vegetarian or gluten-free breakfast can be enjoyed at the property.
Cycling, walking and beach visits are among the activities that guests of the accommodation can find nearby.
Alnwick Castle is 13 miles from Cragend Grange, while Bamburgh Castle is 33.6 miles away. Newcastle International Airport is 19.3 miles from the property.
Continuing to harness Cragend’s surrounding natural resources, heating and hot water onsite are generated by wood burning systems, including the Esse Range for cooking. Delicious food is always on the go at Cragend, with Shaun & Lou’s home cooked breakfasts. Cragend free range eggs are also available to take home. The land around the farm buildings is receiving much needed love and attention for woodland, wildlife, like squirrels and deer. We have visiting geese at certain times of the year. The Black Burn flows to the east side of the boundary and is a vision of bluebells and primroses in Spring with wild garlic and watercress in profusion. The banks of the River Coquet are very special for numerous reasons, the flora and fauna are exemplary, and the salmon and trout fishing are a treat only available to a special few. We have Grown in Britain status for our woodland.
