Craigton Smiddy is a single storey, traditional stone cottage situated in the quiet end of the village of Luss. The cottage is a five minute walk from The Lomond Arms hotel and restaurant and the centre of the village is another 1-2 minutes walk. A gentle stroll wil take you to Luss Pier on the banks of Loch Lomond where the views are simply superb. The cottage sleeps 6 adults comfortably in 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms andthe third bedroom has a separate bathroom next door. One en suite bedroom has a super-kingsize bed which can be prepared as a twin room. The bedroom with private bathroom can also be prepared as a super-kingsize room or a twin room with two full-size single beds. The second en suite bedroom has a kingsize bed. The living room has comfortable sofas and woodburning stove for those cosy nights in. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'd expect from a modern family kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. A refrigerator and a large freezer are also installed in the kitchen. All the bedrooms and the living room contain flat-screen, netflix ready tvs and wifi is available throughout the cottage.

My wife Alison and I have been in the hospitality business for about 8 years and currently also run a bed and breakfast business which is also in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. At least one of us will greet guests to Craigton Smiddy on arrival and show them around the property and answer any questions. We really enjoy meeting visitors and hope to make our guests' stays as great as possible.

Luss is a beautiful village set on the western shore of the iconic Loch Lomond. There are some great walks and bike rides that can be made from the front door of Craigton Smiddy and for the more adventurous, there are 22 monroes in the National Park that can be attempted within a short distance. There are plenty of activities available on Loch Lomond itself, including canoeing, wakeboarding, fishing and enjoying boat trips of varying distances and to some interesting villages. There are many golf courses within a short drive too - you could comfortably play a different course every day for a fortnight without travelling too far. The village of Luss has a varied selection of restaurants and cafes within walking distance of Craigton Smiddy and a number of useful shops from which to purchase essentials such as food and drink. The city of Glasgow is about 40 minutes from Luss by car and is a superb place to visit if you like a great selection of shops, restaurants, museums and art galleries.
