1800 granite house, situated in the centre of Moretonhampstead's cross roads, in easy reach of the centre, with our lovely local cafes, pubs and shops. House has two bedrooms with en suites and small sitting and dressing area, they both have mezzanine floors to your bedroom, accessed via a staircase within the rooms. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available in your own rooms. Showers include shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Free towels, soap, flannels etc. If you have forgotten anything on your visit feel free to ask. We offer wonderful comfortable rooms, with a Continental breakfast or full English. New adventure for me, been previously in employment as a infant/ senior school cook, head cook at A care home establishment, and staff/ sous chef for Hanbury Manor. I also spent 10 years working for Barclaycard head office in a number of jobs, including TV and Advertising, and while my children were at school I trained to make wedding cakes, novelty and anniversary cakes for pocket money for 7 years.

Moretonhampstead is a beautiful village of around 3,000 people. We have various shops and art galleries, Green hill arts which offer wonderful exhibitions of our local artists, Green shoes which you can visit and buy, home made shoes made to measure, two pottery shops at either end of the village which are a must to visit. Our own information centre offering all the info you require for walks on the Moor and local visiting centres. We are 10 min drive from the inner moor. 12 miles from Teignmouth, Dawlish, Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracy, 3/4 of an hour from Torquay, Plymouth, Paignton. We are also in good driving distance from Brixham, Sidmouth, Exmouth, Ashburton and buckfastleigh abbey. You could even make day trips to Cornwall 1hr 25 mins and your in Perranporth. Bodmin is 1hr.
