Abbeycwmhir ('abbey in the long valley') is lovely village situated in the Radnorshire Hills. The village offers the ruins of a Cistercian Abbey built in 1143, The Hall, an impressive country mansion with lovely gardens, which are both open to the public, and the Happy Union Inn, which is an old fashioned ale house. There is excellent walking and cycling from the village, with trails and paths that venture through woodland and along rivers.
