Decimus is a lovely Grade II listed Victorian treasure situated just off the ever popular and very arty Norman's road area of St Leonard's. It is a stones throw away from the beach, which is a couple of minutes walk and it is very close by to the main art galleries, the Kino Theatre and the trendy restaurants and cafes that St Leonard's has to offer. The house itself is great for all. It suits young families as well as those that want to come to St Leonard's to relax and maybe take the dogs on a long refreshing walk of indeed those in St Leonards or Hastings for work.
We love letting guests into Decimus! It is a real find and a great treasure set just back from the beach area. We love getting down there as much as possible and hope you like it as much as we do.
The St Leonard's area is thriving and buzzy. There are local artists who show their works in various art galleries, lots of local restaurants who serve locally produced produce or locally caught fish not to mention the Keno Theatre. This is a great place to see shows such as flamenco to opera to the lastest films. It also has a bar which is a great place to hang out with friends. The award wining St Clement's Restaurant is literally round the corner and there are lots of lovely other places to eat and drink either on the sea front, such as the Goat' Ledge or in Norman's Road or King's Road. If activities are more your thing then there is paddle boarding and kayaking at Calypso Kayak Hire on the sea front. Horse riding can be done at Crowhurst and for a long brisk walk there is nothing better than walking along the seafront or on the firehills at Fairlight.
