Dovecote offers homely studio-style accommodation in the leafy green countryside near Helford. The property sleeps two people and has one double bedroom (en-suite) as part of the open plan living/sleeping area. The accommodation is all on one level and a galley kitchen leads off from the living/sleeping area. Outside there is a pretty cottage garden with outdoor furniture plus off road parking for two cars. Located just a short drive from the village of Helford and the banks of the Helford River, Dovecote offers a peaceful retreat throughout the year. Note: There are narrow lanes leading towards the property.
Helford is a picturesque village on the south side of the Helford River. Helford is very popular with its thatched cottages, excellent village stores and especially The Shipwrights Arms, right on the edge of the creek with its waterside terrace. Just a short walk away is Frenchman’s Creek, immortalised by Daphne du Maurier. The Helford River Sailing Club is very popular and a regatta is held every August. In the summer a passenger ferry runs to Helford passage, the home of the Ferryboat Inn, and nearby to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. The wildlife on the Helford River is diverse and a birdwatcher’s paradise.
