Durdon Cottage is an old period thatched cottage from 18th century. It's set in an acre and a half of land which is mainly lawn, flower beds and some trees. It's 2miles from the village of Winkleigh which offers 2public houses, village store, post office and vets. Phone network connection can be poor around here so we offer free WI FI connection.

We moved here about three years ago and love the space that came with the cottage. It has given me the chance to work my green fingers on the land. I have been trying to grow my own vegetables which you might be lucky to take home some depending on what will be available on the allotment on the time of your visit. I also love walking and we have a lot of walking opportunities around here with Dartmoor not being far and Exmoor.

This area is great for outdoor pursuits, walks, wild swimming, fishing and cycling. RHS Rosemore gardens is about 11miles and there's often open gardens around here in support of the nurses.
