Eastfield Lodge

Eastfield Lodge is a charming Victorian house situated 3 minutes’ walk from the quaint market square of Leyburn. The outskirts of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park are just a 5-minute drive away.

The property includes a holiday home with 8 bedrooms and a separate small apartment in the coach house. Each bedroom in the lodge features free WiFi, an en-suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. Complimentary tea/ coffee making facilities are also provided. The self-catering apartment includes one small double bedroom and is accessed via an external staircase.

The communal dining room and lounge with wood burning fire overlook Wensleydale and the hills. Guests can enjoy walking or cycling in the surrounding area. The property has secure storage, a drying room as well as external toilet facilities.

Breakfast can be provided for an additional fee.

Leyburn offers a wealth of independent shops, a weekly market and tearooms. The Yorkshire Dales caters for a wide variety of activities, including hill walking, mountain biking and water sports.

Henry & Penny met in the Dolomites working with Colletts Mountain Holidays a genuine walking holiday specialist in its 24th year of providing guests with the perfect alpine escape. Henry & Penny's passion for walking brought them to the Yorkshire Dales. Penny is a qualified guide, and if available, will be happy to take your group on a guided walk. (Charge applies). We are also happy to arrange Murder Mysteries, Canoeing trips, Spa days and much more. There are many historic buildings to visit such as, Jervaulx Abbey, Middleham Castle, Bolton Castle and only 20 minutes drive away are the spectacular Asygarth Falls. 40 minutes away is Hawes, home to the famous Wensleydale Cheese Factory. There is so much to do and see in all weather conditions to ensure your family has a truly memorable holiday. Most importantly, every guest can expect a genuine & enthusiastic welcome from us, Henry and Penny or one of our colleagues. From our doorstep, you can venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park with numerous walking and cycling opportunities, a host of charming villages and places of interest. We are open all year round to welcome families, friends and groups who wish to book the whole house for their exclusive use. With its spacious rooms and communal areas, the house is ideal for larger get-togethers and your own house parties. The house has an enviable location and classic views. Leyburn, is the principal town of Wensleydale with its independent shops, tearooms and pubs – and yet, within 5 minutes of the house, you can be in glorious landscapes. You can start walks from the door or take short picturesque drives to trailheads in gems like Swaledale, Coverdale or Arkengarthdale. It’s also a 5 minute walk to the Wensleydale Tourist Railway for step-back-in-time access to the heart of the National Park. Book online selecting which option you prefer - 'Hosted' or 'Self-catered'. With the 'self-catered' option we'll generally be here to welcome you, then let you settle yourselves in and relax. Local shops and restaurants will help with your independent catering needs throughout your stay. You can then be left to your own devices but there is a wealth of information on walks and places of interest. With the 'hosted' option, you have no access to the kitchen, we will cook and serve you a delicious Yorkshire breakfast each morning, provide tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and lounge, a freshly baked cake/cookies each afternoon, an evening meal from our menu choices for which their is a further charge, light the fire in the winter months and give your room a light clean. Please note, up to 4 dogs are allowed with either booking option at a cost of £15 per day per dog and subject to agreement of our Dog Policy. Just give us a call to discuss.
