In a beautiful, peaceful location, nestled at the foot of the Torrs in the Wilder Valley, this beautifully restored house has a sun terrace and free on-site parking.

Set in 1.5 acres of gardens, Epchris House offers the best of both worlds, a tranquil location in one of Ilfracombe's most beautiful spots, yet close to the town centre and the seafront.

The Epchris is the oldest building in the Torrs and dates back to 1831. Carefully restored and sensitively renovated, the house is tastefully appointed, with modern comforts and facilities alongside many beautiful original features. You can enjoy your breakfast outside on the sun terrace or take in the breathtaking scenery of the Wilder valley with a refreshing drink.

All of the en suite rooms have flat-screen TVs, DVD players, hairdryers, alarm clock radios and tea/coffee making facilities. Most room have stunning views over Ilfracombe and the valley.

Epchris House is a beautiful 230 year old house tastefully and stylishly refurbished and restored retaining many original features. Set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens with the added bonus of a sun terrace from which to enjoy breakfast al fresco or an afternoon or evening drink whilst relaxing or reading a book. We are licensed and have an honesty bar for guests to enjoy. Car parking is available on site for guests, we have a parking space available for each room. We also have a ground floor double room suite with kitchenette and en suite shower wet room for guest with mobility issues. Please ask us in advance as this room may not be suitable for all guests with mobility concerns. We are set in the tranquil Wilder valley on the edge of Ilfracombe but within easy walking distance of the town and harbour (5 minutes to the sea front, 10 minutes to the town centre and 15 minutes to the harbour). In addition to our guest house, we also run Easy Divers, a scuba diving company offering on-site swimming pool try dives (pool for diving only) and refresher courses, PADI Open Water courses and trips to Lundy for qualified divers. Epchris House is set in Torrs Park, an area of Ilfracombe renowned for its great views and tranquility, yet less than a 10 minute walk to the seafront and restaurants and art galleries of the town center. The South West Coast path is a 5 minute walk and Ilfracombe's historic harbour and Damien Hirst's Verity statue are a 15 minute stroll. Exmoor National Park is a 20 minute drive and the award-winning golden sand surfing beach at Woolacombe is only just over 10 minutes by car.
