Fairfield House

Located in tranquil gardens, this adult-only country house is a 1-minute walk from the town centre. The property boasts a car park and free WiFi. Dogs can be accommodated on request (see Important Information for details).

Built nearly 200 years ago, Fairfield is one of Lakeland's original country houses. A continental breakfast is served daily.

Guests are offered a high standard of personal service with genuine hospitality in a homely atmosphere.

The half acre of secluded, peaceful garden boasts the beautiful scent and colour of wysteria, azealia and camellia in early summer.

Information about the host

Fairfield House is a late Georgian House with Victorian and Edwardian features added. The house is decorated throughout in the style of the 1910 Arts and Craft period, with a breakfast room set as a tribute to Charles Rene Macintosh.

Tony and Liz are a mature couple with experience in International Sales and Teaching. We enjoy the area immensely and love to see our visitors enjoy it. Our guests are often couples wanting quiet quality time together and so we can't take children.

We are just 200 yards from the centre of the town with all the restaurants, pubs, shops and waterfront all within easy reach. We are in a short cul de sac with a short hill which keeps our location quiet even at the busiest of times.
