Faldarroch Farm is a wonderful farm cottage, in an isolated location in the village of Whauphill near Newton Stewart. The propert has two bedrooms; a four-poster double with a woodburning stove and a triple room, with a bathroom with shower over bath, sleeping five guests. The property also features an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining room and sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside there is off-road parking and a huge lawn with a pond at the rear and a stream at the front, there is also a gravelled area at the rear with outdoor furniture. Faldarroch Farm is a fantastic, secluded Scottish retreat.
Newton Stewart is a market town, famous for its salmon and trout fishing. Situated between the serene rolling countryside of the Machars and the Galloway Forest Park, it offers plenty of opportunity for a scenic walk or cycle. The area is steeped in history; the first Christian missionary to Scotland landed at The Machars, founding the first church in Whithorn in AD 397. The beautiful coastline is a mixture of sandy beaches and rocky shores teeming with birdlife, while sailing, riding and fishing all available locally and there are plenty of excellent courses to keep keen golfers busy.
